The Philippines will imitate Iraq’s method to beat the Indonesian national team in the second round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications in the Asian zone.
The Philippines will face the Indonesian National Team in the match which will be held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, Tuesday (21/11/2023).
Both teams both want to beat because they lost in the previous match. The Philippines lost against Vietnam, while the Indonesian National Team was defeated by Iraq.
For this reason, the Philippines will imitate Iraq’s method in order to succeed in defeating the Indonesian National Team later. The method that will be used is to invite supporters to fill the Rizal Memorial Stadium, which is the Philippines’ home ground.
“Let’s do it all again. This time with more anxiety and a better fan experience!,” wrote the official Facebook of the Philippine Football Association (PFF).
This invitation was immediately responded to by Filipino fans. They are also preparing to attend the Rizal Memorial Stadium during the Philippines vs Indonesian National Team match.
“We need a win!” said a fan of The Azkals, the nickname of the Philippines.
“To all the fans and supporters, come on! Our task is to raise the spirit of our team! Let’s cheer them on to victory!,” said one fan.
The Philippines’ method is similar to what Iraq did when facing the Indonesian National Team. Basra Stadium, which is Iraq’s home ground, was full of Mesopotamian Lions supporters.
And it was proven that Iraq was able to beat the Indonesian National Team because of the presence of supporters. But will the Philippines also succeed in beating the Indonesian National Team in this way?
