I was knocked out by David Haye, now Mark De Mori wants to destroy Filip Hrgovic the Beast’s spleen in the additional Anthony Joshua vs Otto Wallin match. The heavyweight boxer has undergone an extraordinary career change since his crushing defeat at the O2 Arena.
Heavyweight boxer Mark De Mori was once beaten by David Haye – now he is determined to destroy his opponent’s spleen in Anthony Joshua’s extra fight. Mark De Mori in 2016 welcomed David Haye back to the ring after the British legend was absent for four years.
And the Australian lost by knockout in one round at the O2 Arena – but has since gone on an 11-fight win streak. This earned him a spot on the December 23 super-card which will pit Joshua against Otto Wallin, with Deontay Wilder also set to fight Joseph Parker.
De Mori will face unbeaten Filip Hrgovic and gave a stern warning to the Croatian boxer. He said: “I have 11 consecutive wins, ten of them by knockout. I am aware that they are not in the same class as Filip Hrgovic.”
“I’ve always watched his career, I’m very aware that he’s very talented, he hits hard, he’s got a good chin. But every human being I fight, I’m going to try to destroy his spleen, I’m going to attack his body. I’m not going to sit on the edge of the jab me and try to win a 12 round fight against a very popular guy,” threatened Mark De Mori.
“I was looking for a very tough first four rounds and what would happen, but I was there to try to fight and I was there to try to expose something.”
