Suara.com – Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Bobby Nasution are not the first regional heads to be fired by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle or PDIP because of the issue of political rivals. Previously, several regional heads had been fired by PDIP due to political competition.
As is known, the membership status of Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Bobby Nasution became an issue after President Joko Widodo’s son decided to become a vice presidential candidate alongside Prabowo Subianto.
It is said that Gibran and Bobby will be fired by PDIP. Bobby, who is Mayor of Medan, has even received a letter from the Medan PDIP DPC, but the decision to dismiss him depends on the Party’s DPP.
Meanwhile, Gibran, at the beginning of his decision to join political rival PDIP, seemed reluctant to take care of his membership. Gibran never resigned. Likewise, PDIP seems unwilling to fire the Mayor of Solo.
PDIP DPP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said that the issue of Gibran and Bobby’s membership status was closed. Hasto said that there had been a letter of sanction for dismissal from the party’s DPC.
Before Gibran and Bobby, PDIP was recorded as having fired several regional heads who were its cadres. Who are they? The following is a list summarized by Suara.com.
1. Emil Dardak
When he served as Regent of Trenggalek, Emil Dadak was a PDIP cadre. The husband of artist Arumi Bachsin was later fired when he ran for the 2018 East Java regional elections accompanying Khofifah Indar Parawansa.
When running for the East Java regional elections, Emil left the PDIP and was supported by a coalition of the Nasdem Party, Golkar and the Democrats.
2. Akhyar Nasution
Akhyar Nasution is the former Acting Mayor of Medan. Akhyar was fired from PDIP because he defected to the Democratic Party when he was going to run for the 2020 Medan regional elections.
Meanwhile, in the 2020 regional elections, PDIP nominated Jokowi’s son-in-law, Bobby Nasution, as Akhyar Nasution’s rival.
3. Murad Ismail
Not just mayors, even governors have been fired by PDIP. Maluku Governor Murad Ismail is proof of this.
Murad Ismail was also removed from his position as Chairman of the Maluku PDIP DPD. He was fired because his wife, Widya Pratiwi, changed parties from PDIP to the National Mandate Party (PAN).
4. I Made Gianyar
Former Bangli Regent I Made Gianyar was fired from PDIP because he supported his younger brother, I Made Subrata, who was running for the 2020 Bangli Regional Election.
In this regional election, I Made Gianyar’s younger brother was supported by Golkar, NasDem and Gelora.
Former Semarang Regent Mundjirin became the next regional head to be fired by PDIP. He was fired because he was deemed to have violated party orders regarding the 2020 regional elections.
According to the Deputy Chair of the Semarang Regency PDIP DPC, Hok Hiong, Mundjirin was considered to have disobeyed Megawati Soekarnoputri’s orders because in the 2020 regional elections, PDIP actually formed a coalition with PKB, Democrat and Hanura by supporting Ngesti Nugraha and Basari.
However, it turns out that Mundjirin’s wife, Bintang Narsasi, is also running with Gunawan Wibisono. Mundjirin’s wife ran with the support of PKS, PPP, Gerindra, Golkar, Nasdem and PAN.
Mantin, Deputy Governor of Central Java, Rustriningsih, was fired from PDIP because he supported presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa in the 2014 presidential election.
Meanwhile, PDIP already has its own supporters, namely Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla.
