Self-confidence is a person’s main capital to adapt to the environment, accept one’s situation, dare to appear and face other people, and develop one’s potential.
Launching from Choosing Therapy, building self-confidence is important to support self-empowerment, help you feel happier and better about your body and your strengths, improve physical and mental health, reduce stress, make it easier to adapt to life, and train you to respect yourself.
There are several things you can do and get used to so you can increase your self-confidence. What are they?
1. Love Yourself

Quoting Tony Robbins, to truly be a confident person, you need to love yourself first. Because when you love yourself, a feeling of confidence will come from within to face whatever happens in your life.
The way to do this is to determine your values and be proud of them. Embrace your strengths and know your weaknesses. Appreciate yourself with the strengths and weaknesses that you have.
2. Change Your Body Language

Stand and sit straighter, straighten your shirt and put your chest forward. Move quickly and purposefully.
This posture will make you feel stronger. You can also learn body language that shows confidence from YouTube.
3. Acknowledge your Achievements

Appreciate the work you have produced, or the achievements you have achieved in your career. Give yourself a sense of pride for all the successes you have achieved. Attitudes like this are simple, but they can support your self-confidence.
4. Change your way of thinking

Change your perspective on failure. See failure as an opportunity, not an obstacle.
Spend your share of failure until you get success. Focus on positive things, not negative things. Also, never be afraid to try, Beauties.
5. Be grateful

Gratitude is one of the keys to living a happy life. Stop assuming your body is there just for other people to see.
Your body is a painting worth admiring. Think of all the things your body does for your life. Be grateful for whatever you have so far. When you succeed in implementing gratitude, you will no longer consider yourself negatively and feel anxious because of the shortcomings you have.
6. Practice Positive Self-Talk

Talking to yourself can influence your subconscious to recognize thoughts about yourself. Make healthy self-talk part of your daily routine by giving yourself positive affirmations, and don’t be your own enemy or bully.
7. Take care of yourself

Increasing self-confidence requires better self-care. Self-care means meeting your emotional, physical, spiritual, and personal needs.
You can write down a list of concrete activities that make you feel better about yourself. Then, commit to regularly practicing these things in your daily life.
8. Accept Compliments

Reporting from Indeed, you should also give and receive compliments with an open heart as a simple way to build your self-confidence.
Accept compliments from people about your behavior, personality, or success, but don’t forget to ask other people what they like about you. This question might make you more aware of some things you’ve never thought about yourself.
9. Stop Comparing Yourself

Quoted from Mind, try not to compare yourself with other people. For example, by reducing the time spent looking at other people’s lives on social media because what they share is not always a complete picture of their lives. What is shared must be what makes us happy, while the difficulties and bitterness of life that we don’t know about cannot possibly be shared by that person.
