Suara.com – Al Nassr managed to achieve a convincing victory with a score of 2-0 over Al Khaleej in the 12th week of the Saudi Arabian Pro League match which took place at the Al Awal Park Stadium on Sunday morning. This match saw brilliant performances from both teams, and here is an overview of the match.
The match started with Al Khaleej almost opening the scoring first in the 23rd minute. Khale Narey provided a cross from the left side, and Mohammed Al Khabrani managed to head the ball towards the goal. However, Nawaf Al Aqidi, Al Nassr’s goalkeeper, carefully parried the ball away, keeping the goal safe.
Al Nassr finally took the lead in the 26th minute through a spectacular goal scored by Cristiano Ronaldo. This goal was the result of a hard kick from outside the penalty box after receiving an assist from Abdulrahman Ghareeb.
Ronaldo received a pass from Ghareeb, then brilliantly turned his body and passed an Al Khaleej player before firing an accurate shot with his strong legs.
However, the goal was reviewed via VAR because there was doubt regarding Ronaldo’s position when receiving Ghareeb’s pass, whether he was in an offside position or not.
Al Khaleej tried hard to score an equalizer towards the end of the first half, especially through Pedro Rebocho’s left-footed shot. Unfortunately, the kick was not strong enough to get past Al Nassr goalkeeper, Nawaf Al Aqidi.
Al Nassr was only able to add a goal in the second half, to be precise in the 58th minute, through a shot which was executed perfectly by defender Aymeric Laporte.
This goal came from a free kick executed by Alex Telles from the left side of the field. The ball was received by Ronaldo, who then gave a horizontal pass towards the goal.
Aymeric Laporte easily directed the ball into the goal without any obstacles, making this goal his first since playing for Al Nassr.
In the 76th minute, Sadio Mane almost increased Al Nassr’s lead to 3-0. He received a through ball from Marcelo Brozovic.
However, inaccurate control of the ball meant that Al Khaleej goalkeeper, Marwan Al Haidari, managed to thwart Sadio Mane’s golden opportunity. With no additional goals until the end of the match, Al Nassr managed to win the match with a final score of 2-0.
