It turns out that Armand Maulana and Dewi Gita’s household has been hit by slanted rumors. This happened when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and their family’s financial condition worsened.
At that time, it was reported that Armand Maulana was bankrupt and had to hold an auction of his personal items via live broadcast on Instagram.
Responding to this news, Armand Maulana explained that the economic condition is still good until now. In fact, he was surprised that many news reports said he had fallen into poverty because of lack of work.
“I was asked, did it really fall during the pandemic or not? Hah, I was confused about why it fell? Then he said until it was auctioned, ‘oh no’ I said,” said Armand Maulana on YouTube Kasi Solusi.
The vocalist of the band Gigi explained that he was auctioning off his personal items such as trousers, clothes and branded shoes.
During the auction, Armand Maulana managed to get IDR 25 million.
“The first time I immediately got around IDR 25 million or less,” he added.
The reason why Armand Maulana auctioned his goods was not because he was bankrupt. He just wants to share with other people who need it.
Armand Maulana admitted that he felt sorry because many people had lost their jobs during the pandemic, so he wanted to provide assistance.
“It’s not just a fad, at first I saw it was a pity, like they didn’t have any orders for ojol-ojol, and then I saw that many people had been laid off from work and so on, it was really sad,” he concluded.
