A group of high school students recently caused a stir in the virtual world after making a bomb terror prank aimed at Koja Trade Mall (KTM), North Newsdelivers.com, on Thursday (2/11/2023). The police even immediately moved to comb the mall which was suspected to be the target of the bombing.
Koja Police Chief Commissioner Muhamad Syahroni said that his party had secured the total number of students who made the bomb terror prank at Koja Trade Mall, namely FA, RF, KH, SAL, and H.
The chronology of the incident told by Syahroni is that it started when FA, RF, KH, SAL, and H planned a prank for their friend with the initials H. At that time, FA made a bomb terror message at Koja Trade Mall to H with an unknown WhatsApp number and profile photo and name Noordin M Top.
After finding the message, H, who felt frightened, immediately captured the message and forwarded it via Instagram message to the official Koja Trade Mal account. Then the message was received by the Head of Security at Koja Trade Mall with the initials S and was immediately reported to the Koja Police.
“We carried out 2 teams, carrying out security and clearing the crime scene at KTM and one team carrying out investigations into the admin of Brother FA and Brother H,” said Syahroni.
From this chase, the police first secured FA at his school. At the same location, H was also arrested. Then the development of the investigation continued and the six students were successfully arrested by the police.
During the investigation, the FA said he wanted to play a prank on H during class time. He sent a WhatsApp message claiming to be one of the followers of terrorist Noordin M Top. H then confirmed this message on the Koja Trade Mall Instagram account.
The police have carried out an inspection and found no items suspected of being boom. The name Noordin M Top is also said to have emerged spontaneously from the FA.
“We called parents, the school and the Head of the North Newsdelivers.com Education Sub-Department to provide direction and guidance,” he said.
Pure Prank, Not Affiliated with Terrorist Networks
Syahroni said that the high school students who made the bomb terror prank at Koja Trade Mall were not affiliated with a terrorist network.
This was discovered after the police carried out a background check through joint interviews with the family and the parties concerned.
However, Syahroni said there was an opportunity to call the relevant parties again to investigate this incident.
Furthermore, Syahroni explained that the perpetrators’ use of Noordin M Top in spreading terror was spontaneous.
For information, Noordin M Top is a terrorist kingpin from Malaysia who was responsible for various bombings in Indonesia in the 2000s. These various actions include the 2000 Christmas Eve Bomb, the 2003 JW Marriot Bomb, and the 2004 Australian Embassy Bomb.
