Suara Denpasar – Arema FC coach, Fernando Valente, is optimistic about his team’s chances of escaping the threat of League 1 relegation.
This challenge is not easy for Fernando Valente. The reason is, Arema FC has experienced a win drought in the last three matches.
The team with the clenched lion logo only achieved one draw against Madura United last week and lost twice when facing Borneo FC and PSM Makassar.
As a result, Arema FC is still in the relegation zone, occupying 16th position in the standings with a collection of 14 points.

Even though they are still struggling in the relegation zone, Fernando Valente believes that there is quite positive progress shown by Gustavo Almeida et al.
This is what makes the coach from Portugal optimistic that he can save the team nicknamed Singo Crazy from relegation.
“During these several matches we have not been able to get out of the relegation zone. “But, look, since I came in two months we have improved a lot,” explained Fernando Valente as quoted from the Instagram account @quotesarema, Tuesday (31/10/2023).
“I believe, maybe we don’t know what will happen in the future, but we’ll see at the end of the season, what kind of team we will be,” he continued.
“I don’t know where we are but I’m sure we will be safe,” said the 63-year-old man.
