JAKARTA – The Republic of Indonesia DPR held a naturalization trial for two hereditary players, Jay Idzes and Nathan Tjoe-A-On, after the recess. The DPR RI recess period lasts until Monday (30/10/2023).
This was confirmed by the Deputy Chair of Commission This woman, who is also Deputy General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP, confirmed that the trial for Idzes and Nathan will be held in the near future.

“Oh yes, this is still being processed, we are still going through the institutions, we are still processing it at the DPR, after the session period we will start speeding up again,” said Minister of Youth and Sports Dito.
Meanwhile, the General Chair of PSSI, Erick Thohir, said that the second process is targeted for completion in March 2024. This means that the Indonesian national team has the opportunity to be strengthened by 2 new naturalized players in the match against Vietnam in the second round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications in the Asian zone.
“This is me and the Minister of Youth and Sports working hard. Hopefully we can kiss hands in March and November,” said Erick.
However, if the naturalization trial is completed in November 2023, then there is a possibility that they will be ready to strengthen the Indonesian national team in the 2023 Asian Cup. Meanwhile, the Indonesian national team will play their first match in the 2023 Asian Cup on January 15 2024, facing Iraq.
After taking place at the DPR RI, the process for the two players is just waiting for the Presidential Decree (Kepres). Then, both of them will take the oath of Indonesian citizenship (WNI) at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Next, the process continues with the transfer of federation.
