The Indonesian National Team’s medical staff continues to monitor the conditions of Marselino Ferdinan and Ivar Jenner, who are currently undergoing the process of recovering from injuries. This was conveyed by Nova Arianto as assistant coach of the Garuda Squad.
“We are still monitoring Marselino’s condition, including Ivar Jenner,” said Nova Arianto.
Marselino and Ivar Jenner suffered injuries before the Indonesian National Team faced Iraq in the second round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification at the Basra International Stadium, Thursday (16/11/2023).
The former Indonesian national team player said that the latest news was that Marselino’s hamstring injury was getting worse. However, he could not yet conclude what the condition of the KMSK Deinze player was.
“The latest news is that Marselino’s condition with a hamstring injury is not good,” he said.
Nova said that regarding Marselino’s condition in more detail, he was still waiting for his club’s report. Currently, the player is undergoing a recovery period in Belgium with the club he is defending.
“We are still waiting for the results of the MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) from the club to confirm whether we can take him to Iraq or not. Not yet, we can’t confirm (whether he will be called or not. We will still wait for the MRI results letter from the club so that we can immediately take a stand about the summons,” added Nova.
