Suara.com – Indonesian national team defender, Jordi Amat, opened his voice after being dropped from the Garuda squad. The player who had a career at Johor Darul Tazim (JDT) was absent due to injury.
Jordi Amat is officially absent from defending the Indonesian national team in the 2026 World Cup Qualifications. This news was confirmed by Shin Tae-yong’s assistant, Nova Arianto.
“Yes (Jordi is absent vs Brunei Darussalam,” answered Nova Arianto when asked by Suara.com via short message.
“Yes, that’s right (absent due to injury) and let Jordi (Amat) focus on his recovery,” added Nova Arianto.

Previously, this 31 year old defender defended Johor Darul Tazim (JDT) against BG Pathum United, Tuesday (3/10/2023) in the Asian Champions League.
The Indonesian national team central defender appeared as a starter. He even contributed one assist in JDT’s 4-2 win over BG Pathum United.
Unfortunately, in the second half of the match, Jordi Amat was pulled out by the JDT coach. He was replaced by Feroz Baharudin due to injury.
Failing to defend the Garuda squad against Brunei Darussalam in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, Jordi was very disappointed. However, he promised to continue to support his colleagues.
“It’s a shame, I can’t play against Brunei due to injury,” he wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.

The Indonesia vs Brunei Darussalam national team match itself is scheduled to take place twice on 12 and 17 October 2023.
