The success of singer Putri Ariani in reaching the top four at the 18th America’s Got Talent event recently resulted in new achievements for Indonesia. The long, enjoyable journey to the final has also left a special impression on Putri

It all started with a direct invitation from the America’s Got Talent team who interviewed online, considering the distance that would be quite far if you had to take the initial audition to America.
Apart from being interviewed, Putri was also asked to send several songs, and finally flew to the United States for the first time to audition.
Until this article was released, Putri’s audition video on the America’s Got Talent stage, where she sang her song, Loneliness,” and “Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word,” by Elton John, had been watched 53 million times.
His moving performance not only moved the audience to tears, but also made the four judges applaud while standing.

Mollywood, who is a photographer in Simi Valley, California, was willing to miss work to watch the America’s Got Talent final which was held in Pasadena, California.
He also met many Indonesian diaspora who came from various states, including Oregon and Washington, DC, who were willing to queue for hours until the event started.
Putri’s appearance on stage succeeded in inviting feelings of emotion and made the audience, including Mollywood, shed tears.
“When I saw him I cried, you know, because he could carry the name of Indonesia. “Really proud of him,” said Mollywood to VOA.

Similar to Mollywood, Dewi Rusmiati, who lives in the Sherman Oaks area in Los Angeles, California, was also present to witness Putri Ariani’s performance, which she said was “absolutely phenomenal” on the final stage of America’s Got Talent.
“As long as I live in Los Angeles, I have never watched a live event like this,” said Dewi Rusmiati to VOA.
“This is truly a moment that we will never forget as Indonesian citizens who live especially in Los Angeles. “We are very, very proud and (increasingly) proud,” he continued.

An Indonesian make-up artist in Los Angeles, Noveo Alexander, who did Putri’s make-up on the final night of America’s Got Talent, admitted that she got goosebumps when she saw Putri’s appearance on stage.
Noveo, who felt happy to be able to contribute and have the opportunity to do Putri’s make-up, said that Putri was a truly extraordinary figure.

Shocked, Sad, Disappointed
On the night the winners were announced, Putri Arini appeared with British singer, Leona Lewis, and performed the song “Run,” by the Scottish band, Snow Patrol. This song was also covered by Leona Lewis and was included in Leona Lewis’s first album, “Spirit,” which was released in 2007.
After the duet on stage, Leona said that Putri was an extraordinary figure and was a gift to the world. He admitted that he was inspired by Putri’s voice and felt honored to be able to sing with her.

However, it cannot be denied that quite a few viewers were disappointed after hearing the announcement that Putri did not win first place, including Mollywood who admitted they were sad.
“So everyone was disappointed, because the daughter didn’t succeed. “When our daughter didn’t become champion, we were sad, I cried,” said Mollywood.
Dewi’s memory is still clear when host Terry Crews announced that Putri did not make it into the top 3. Not only the Indonesian audience, but according to Dewi, all the audience in the studio were shocked. Even though she was shocked, Dewi felt “maybe this is the best for Putri.
“In our opinion, America’s Got Talent really opens the way for Putri, that Putri will have many opportunities to continue her studies,” he said.

A year earlier, illusionist, Demian Aditya, also managed to reach the quarter-finals of this event.
“Alhamdulillah, Putri is still happy, still very grateful, because for Putri, whatever the outcome, this is like a new journey, a new beginning for me. “This is not the end for Putri,” said Putri.
Even though she didn’t win, Putri was not discouraged and remained enthusiastic to continue working. He is very grateful to have reached this point.
