POBSI Pool Circuit 2023 Series V Results: Host Loses, 2 National Players Reach Quarter Finals
BALIKPAPAN – The round of 16 of the POBSI Pool Circuit 2023 Series V has finished at RAnD Pool & Lounge, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan (Kaltim), Tuesday (3/10/2023). As a result, many representatives from host East Kalimantan dropped out, while two national players, Andri and Ismail Kadir, still advanced to the quarter-finals.
Andri, who represented the Riau Islands, managed to beat the host representative, Stanley. He performed brilliantly to win with a score of 9-4.
Meanwhile, Ismail Kadir, who comes from South Sulawesi, also silenced another host delegation, namely Dani. Even though it was tight at first, he succeeded in locking in a positive result with a score of 9-5.
Of the eight East Kalimantan representatives who appeared in the top 16, only two remained who made it through to the quarter-finals. They are Roy Ezar and Herry G.
Roy Ezar escaped after winning the civil war match against another East Kalimantan envoy, Median, with a score of 9-7. Meanwhile, Herry G defeated Irwanto from Southeast Sulawesi with a score of 9-5.
Meanwhile, Roy from Central Sulawesi successfully humiliated Allen, who was also the host’s representative, with a score of 9-5. Then, Amelia from East Java overcame fierce resistance from Johan Dewa from South Kalimantan with a score of 9-7.
Then, M Beni from West Java also crushed the host’s representative, Armand D’Ale with a score of 9-5. Finally, Kholik from South Kalimantan buried the hopes of the host, Dandy, with a score of 9-8.
The POBSI Pool Circuit 2023 Series V quarter-final match will be held on Wednesday (4/10/2023). Then continued with the semifinals and finals on the same day.
