There was an interesting moment in the Indonesian U-22 National Team’s match against Uzbekistan in the round of 16 of the 2022 Asian Games.
The Indonesian national team was eliminated from the 2022 Asian Games after being defeated by Uzbekistan, 0-2 in the round of 16 of the 2022 Asian Games at the Sancheng Sport Center Stadium, Thursday (28/9/2023).
Sherzod Esanov became the goal target for the Garuda Muda National Team with his two goals in the 92nd minute of added time and the 120th minute.
In fact, the U-24 Indonesian National Team equalized the score through a header from striker Ramadhan Sananta.

However, Sananta’s goal was disallowed by the referee. Because, the Persis Solo striker was considered offisde before throwing the ball into the Uzbekistan goal.
The coach of the Indonesian U-24 National Team, Indra Sjafri, also celebrated with thanksgiving after the goal. Unfortunately, Sananta’s goal was disallowed.
The moment when the coach born in Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatra was pranked twice after the celebration of prostration of gratitude became a topic of conversation among netizens.
“The second time Mr. Mustache was pranked by the referee, the first time in the SG final, he thought it was the long whistle but it wasn’t, the second time he thought the goal was offside,” wrote @vees**** in the comments column of the Instagram account upload @tim.nasional.
Previously, Indra Sjafri also pranked the referee’s whistle in the final match of the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia when the Indonesian U-22 National Team played against Thailand.

At that time, the former Bali United coach bowed down in gratitude thinking that the referee blew the long whistle and the U-22 Indonesian National Team won 2-1.
However, the referee’s blow actually gave Thailand a free kick which eventually equalized the score at 2-2.
Luckily, the Indonesian U-22 National Team finally secured the gold medal after adding three goals in extra time and winning 5-2.
