JAKARTA – A fierce battle will occur when Persija Jakarta faces Persis Solo in the 14th match of Liga 1 2023/2024 at Manahan Stadium, Saturday (30/9/2023) at 19.00 WIB. Ryo Matsumura, Persija Jakarta’s mainstay midfielder, has expressed his determination to contribute three points to Jakmania.
Persija Jakarta experienced unsatisfactory results in the 13th week of League 1 this season. The Kemayoran Tigers, nicknamed Persija Jakarta, were only able to draw 1-1 against Bali United. These results mean that Persija Jakarta has not been able to climb to the top of the standings, and is currently in eighth place with 18 points.

Against Persis Solo is not an easy task for Persija Jakarta. Laskar Sambernyawa, nicknamed Persis Solo, managed to achieve two consecutive wins which will become their capital when they host Persija Jakarta.
Ryo Matsumura has a strong determination to bring Persija Jakarta to achieve positive results when facing Persis Solo. Even though he will be playing against his former team, Matsumura is determined to give Jakmania a win.
“In the next match we will face Persis Solo. I hope that we can get three points from this match and contribute them to Jakmania,” said Ryo Matsumura as reported by LIB on Wednesday (27/9/2023).
Ryo Matsumura also expressed his disappointment with the draw achieved against Bali United. According to him, Persija Jakarta failed to maximize existing opportunities. He felt that his team lacked focus in the first 10 minutes of the match, which allowed Bali United to score a goal.
“Even though we played well, I was disappointed with the result of the match against Bali United. We created many opportunities, but in the end we were only able to score one goal,” he said.
“In summary, we couldn’t concentrate well in the first 10 minutes and conceded goals easily. However, in the second half, we supported each other to score a goal back. Unfortunately, one goal is not enough, and this is what makes me feel disappointed,” he added .
