NEW YORK – OpenAI integrates ChatGPT with voice and image-based capabilities to increase the interactivity of conversational AI tools. This step comes at a time when the battle between technology giants regarding AI technology is ongoing.
It is known that Amazon invested in Anthropic, an OpenAI competitor. According to OpenAI’s latest update, users will be able to engage in voice interactions with the tool while giving commands.
This will make the AI more flexible and dynamic, and you can verbally request ChatGPT with the latest improvements. ChatGPT can even provide verbal responses, like a spoken conversation.
Behind this development is a new text-to-speech model that OpenAI developed, collaborating with voice actors to create five different voices. New sound technology, capable of producing realistic synthetic sounds in just a few seconds, opens the door to many creative and accessibility-focused applications.
ChatGPT has also established a prominent partnership with Spotify, where podcasters can translate their content into multiple languages while maintaining their original voice. However, OpenAI is careful to prevent impersonation and misuse of its technology, noting that malicious players could potentially exploit the system.
Additionally, ChatGPT users will be able to upload images to generate answers. For example, you can upload an image for an AI tool to explain the meaning or get specific instructions.

OpenAI has stated that it will roll out these features in stages, starting with Plus and Enterprise customers in the next two weeks. Users need to enable the voice feature to access this function in the ChatGPT application settings.
OpenAI recognized the potential for abuse when it launched image-based interaction features in ChatGPT. The company has limited its AI’s ability to comment on certain types of images. Additionally, AI has been proactive in limiting individual analysis and respecting their privacy.
