Elkan Baggott, the specialist appearing in the English League Cup. That’s what is etched in the minds of Ipswich Town fans. To date, the Indonesian national team defender has played three times with the club nicknamed The Tractor Boys in the Carabao Cup this season.
Most recently, Elkan Baggott even played the full game with Ipswich Town when they destroyed Wolves with a score of 3-2 in the third round of the 2023/2024 English League Cup at Portman Road Stadium, Wednesday (27/9/2023) early morning WIB.
In the third round match, The Tractor Boys had to trail 0-2 through goals scored by Hwang Hee-chan (4′) and Tote Gomes (15′). However, before halftime, Ipswich Town managed to equalize through goals scored by Omari Hutchinson (28′) and Freddie Ladapo (39′).
Ipswich Town’s victory was finally determined by Jack Taylor’s goal in the 58th minute. One interesting thing was Kieran McKenna’s decision to use Baggott to play the full game. However, the coach has not given the 20 year old defender the opportunity to play in the Championship or the second tier of the Premier League.

However, Elkan Baggott still has the opportunity to appear in the Championship. This could happen if Ipswich Town needed the services of Elkan Baggott if one of Luke Woolfenden or Cameron Burgess was absent and unable to play.
