Freddie was born in Dedham, on March 5 1960. Quoting Bleacher Report, he was born to a father named Paul Roach.
Looking back, the boy in his family became a boxer at the behest of his father. For your information, his father was also a boxer and won the New England featherweight championship in 1947.
Trained directly by his father, Freddie initially became an amateur boxer. Appearing quite prominently with various achievements, he turned as a professional boxer in 1978.
Freddie made his professional debut when he was 18 years old. He officially retired at the age of 26 after a record of 40 wins and 13 defeats.
In his boxing career, Freddie’s progress was not very impressive. In fact, he doesn’t make much money from his fights either.
After retiring, Freddie worked in other fields. However, his life found hope when he became assistant to boxing coach Eddie Futch.
