Even though in the film Dono is always the victim of disaster or Indro’s or Kasino’s pranks, and is easily fooled, in real life Dono is a Warkop member who is intelligent and highly intellectual, you know, Beauties.
The proof is that he was once a lecturer in the Sociology department, FISIP, University of Indonesia. Among students and co-workers, Dono is considered a killer lecturer, in contrast to his character who is far from the fierce character in the film.
Apart from that, Dono is also an excellent journalist. He knows how to elegantly criticize the social and moral aspects of political actors, so it is not surprising that he often fills the political column in newspapers. Dono is also the author of four novels, namely Cemara-Cemara Kampus, Two Batang Weeds, If the Security Guard Makes Love, and Senggol Kiri Senggol Kanan.

Sure enough, after quitting his hobby of shooting, Indro also had a youngest son.

Like friendships and human relationships in general, there are bound to be moments of quarrel or discomfort between each other. The same thing happened to the late Dono and Kasino, Beauties. The two of them never spoke to each other because of clashing characteristics.
In a podcast, Indro said that their argument had been going on since 1988-1990. This means that they kept quiet about each other around the era of the films Jodoh Boleh Arranged (1988), Malu-malu Mau (1988), Godain Kita Dong (1989), Sabar Dulu Dong (1989), and Mana Can Hold (1990).
Amazingly, Warkop was able to maintain professionalism during these critical times. What’s also interesting is that according to Indro’s account (in the midst of the conflict), Kasino always got very angry when someone spoke ill of Dono in front of him. Also, when the Casino started to get sick, Dono was the number one person who was busiest looking after it.
The lesson that can be taken from this is that even though conflict was inevitable, they never thought about leaving Warkop or disbanding. Because, for the three of them, Warkop DKI is a gift that must be grateful for.
