Suara.com – Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto praised Democratic Party Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY). Prabowo called AHY an asset to the Indonesian nation
Prabowo conveyed this praise through Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) when he visited the residence of the sixth President in Pacitan, East Java.
“When I met Mr. SBY in Pacitan, I conveyed to Mr. SBY. Mr. SBY, Brother Agus Harimurti is indeed your father’s biological son, but for me, brother AHY is an asset to the Indonesian nation,” said Prabowo at the Democratic Party’s National Meeting at JCC Senayan, Newsdelivers.com, Thursday (21/9/2023).
Prabowo then mentioned that what he said could possibly become real. At least, said Prabowo, this happened within the Gerindra Party’s internal circles.

“And as former commanders, former commanders, we can quickly see the cadre of potential future leaders. Among the Gerindra Party, they know that what the general chairman often says happens,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo then accepted and expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the Democratic Party. Not only that, he also expressed his gratitude for the trust and hope given.
“Thank you for the honor that has been given to me. I can only say that I accept this decision with the determination that I will do my best,” said Prabowo.
Apart from his great gratitude, Prabowo expressed his feelings for the support given by the Democrats.
“For the support and decision to nominate me, I convey here my feelings of emotion mixed with my pride in having been nominated by the Democratic Party,” said Prabowo.

“For me, this support is a form of trust and hope placed on my shoulders together with the other parties that have supported me,” he said.

Prospective presidential candidate for the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Prabowo Subianto saluted the General Chair of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) after being officially declared as a presidential candidate by the Democrats in the 2024 presidential election.
Suara.com monitoring at the location, Prabowo was standing right next to the Chairman of the Democratic Party’s High Council, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) when AHY read the declaration of support for the Democrats. Prabowo then appeared to stand up straight and give a warm welcome to AHY.
Beside him, SBY and the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, were seen applauding together. In his speech, Prabowo admitted that he received Democratic support very happily.
“Thank you for the hope given to me. I can only say that I accept this decision, with the determination that I will do my best. So that this trust will not be disappointed,” said Prabowo in his speech at the Democratic National Rapimnas venue at the Newsdelivers.com Convention Center, Newsdelivers.com Center, Thursday (21/9/2023).
Previously, AHY officially led the Democrat’s declaration of support for Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
AHY made this declaration at the Democratic National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) which was held at the JCC, Central Newsdelivers.com, Thursday (21/8/2023).
“This evening, Thursday 21 September 2023, at the National Leadership Meeting at the Newsdelivers.com Convention Center, I, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, General Chair of the Democratic Party, officially and openly declared Mr. Brabowo Subianto as the Indonesian presidential candidate in the 2024 Election,” said AHY.
This declaration was greeted with thunder by thousands of Democratic cadres who were already present at the location. AHY then returned to fuel the enthusiasm of his cadets.

“Ready,” shouted the cadres in unison.
“Prabowo!” said AHY.
“President,” said thousands of cadres while clapping their hands.
