WASHINGTON – Apple officially launched the iPhone 15 Series, a line of flagship smartphones with great specifications and features. In fact, one of the models has reliable gaming capabilities.
This capability is possessed by the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. As shown at the launch event, the new device can run notoriously demanding AAA games.
The iPhone Pro is claimed to be able to run console titles such as Resident Evil, Death Stranding and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. With this greatness, speculation has emerged that Apple wants to displace the global console market.
The Indian Express page, Tuesday (19/9/2023), quoted an unnamed Apple executive, saying that currently the company is only focused on working with developers and trying to present more AAA game titles. Not competing with gaming giants like Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft.
He said the company will allow developers to choose controller support or use the API. Includes enterprise software programming support to offer touch support.
However, according to some parties, the tech giant may take over handheld gaming consoles such as the Lenovo Legion Go and ROG Ally with the iPhone 15 Pro series.
Currently the problem that Apple has to solve is that they have to convince game studios to bring their AAA titles to iOS, something that the games industry might be able to do.
But since the tech giant sells millions of devices every year, it might be easy to convince game developers to make separate versions for the iPhone. We’ll see whether Apple will succeed in controlling all markets.
