PARIS – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) marked the opening match of the Group F phase of the 2023/2024 Champions League with satisfactory results. Against Borussia Dortmund at the Parc des Princes, Wednesday (20/9/2023) early morning WIB, Luis Enrique’s polished team won with a score of 2-0.
During the 90 minutes of the match, PSG dominated the game. This can be seen when Les Parisiens excel in possession of the ball with a percentage of 70 percent compared to 30 percent.
Looking at these statistics, it is not surprising that PSG diligently kicks at Dortmund’s goal. It was recorded that Luis Enrique’s men fired 14 kicks.
However, of the 16, only three were able to threaten Dortmund’s goal. Two of them succeeded in shaking the Black and Yellows’ goal.
PSG’s goal celebration opened with Kylian Mbappe’s action in the 49th minute via the penalty spot. Mbappe is at least able to equal Edinson Cavani’s record of being able to score goals with PSG in seven consecutive seasons in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, the second goal was created in the 58th minute through the action of Achraf Hakimi. Until the final whistle sounded, the score 2-0 for PSG’s victory had not changed.
