VOICE OF SUMEDANG-Chairman of the PDIP DPP, Puan Maharani, said that the names of Democratic Party Chairperson Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and Ridwan Kamil were no longer included in Ganjar Pranowo’s list of vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election.
This was stated by Puan Maharani after attending the 2023 National Conference (Munas) of Alim Ulama and Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress (Konbes).
“Mas AHY’s name has appeared (as a vice presidential candidate) but when the Democratic Party decided to “act or make a decision together with Mas Prabowo (Subianto), of course it seemed impossible,” said Puan.
Apart from that, continued Puan, Ridwan Kamil’s name was also removed from the consideration list for the party bearing the symbol of the white-nosed bull. “Mr Ridwan Kamil is also a Golkar member with Mr Prabowo, and Mr Ridwan Kamil is a Golkar cadre.

“Moreover, I heard that the Golkar National Conference always decides that the presidential and vice presidential candidates are Mas Airlangga Hartarto, otherwise the officials stay here and their cars go elsewhere,” said Puan.
Currently, said Puan, those who still appear to be potential companions for Ganjar are Minister of Foreign Affairs Erick Thohir, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, former TNI Commander General (Ret.) Andika Perkasa, and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD.
“Yes, the names are still Mr. Erick Thohir, Mr. Sandi Uno, Mr. Andika, and Mr. Mahfud,” said Puan.
According to the Chairman of the DPR RI, with the latest dynamic developments such as those currently occurring, all political parties (political parties) supporting Ganjar will soon sit down together to develop the best composition of vice presidential candidates. “Yes, with dynamic changes like this, of course there will be more changes in the future.
“We will immediately hold a coordination meeting with the General Chairperson and Mrs. Megawati regarding the changes in political dynamics that are currently occurring,” said Puan. Previously, the names Ridwan Kamil and AHY were Ganjar’s companions. In fact, Ridwan Kamil admitted that this was proposed directly by PDIP President Megawati Soekarnoputri.
