Depok. Suara.com – A major fire hit the Indonesian National Museum (MNI) on Saturday evening, September 16 2023. Even though the fire has been successfully extinguished, up to now the building located on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Newsdelivers.com is still entering the cooling process.
It is not yet certain what losses resulted from this fire incident. As an illustration, MNI is divided into three parts, namely Building A, Building B and Building C. Meanwhile the fire occurred behind Building A.
“Currently our main priority is protecting valuable artifacts and historical objects in the museum,” said the National Museum of Indonesia in a press statement.
Firefighters (Damkar) made every effort to extinguish the fire and avoid damage to collections and historical objects.
