JAKARTA – The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo is considered the next generation in the future. This statement appeared at the commemoration of the 2023 National Sports Day (Haornas) at the Jakarta International Velodrome, Saturday (9/9/2023).
At the commemoration of Haornas 2023, Menpora Dito gave awards to sports people who excel in their respective fields. He hopes that this award can spur enthusiasm to be able to further increase awareness of the development of sports.
“Let’s work together, collaborate with athletes, artists, influencers to create sports culture programs that entertain the public,” said Minister of Youth and Sports Dito.
In commemoration of the 40th Haornas, Prabowo Subianto, representing President Joko Widodo, was also present. On this occasion the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia said that Menpora Dito is a figure of the next generation in the future.
“I can’t be objective because he has been very close to me for a long time. This is the figure of the next generation who must appear when the time comes,” said Prabowo.
“Now it has started to appear, later it will appear more,” he added.
Regarding the 2023 Haornas commemoration, Prabowo, who is also the General Chair of IPSI, also congratulated all National sports players and Menpora Dito and gave an important message for Indonesian Sports.
“In developing a nation, we must maintain physical and mental strength, national spirit, because that is a reflection of a strong country. We hope that the achievements that have been achieved will continue to be improved and become even greater in the future,” he concluded.
