Suara.com – The coach of the Taiwan U-23 National Team, Tseng Tai-lin, gave advice to the Indonesian U-23 National Team even though his team was badly beaten 0-9 in the Group K match for the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification, Saturday (9/9/2023) evening at Manahan Stadium, Solo.
The Indonesian national team went crazy when they faced Taiwan in the U-23 Asian Cup Qualification. Garuda Muda won 9-0 thanks to goals from Ramadhan Sananta, Rafael Struick, Witan Sulaeman, Elkan Baggott, Rio Fahmi, Hokky Caraka, Pratama Arhan, and Marselino Ferdinan’s brace.
The Taiwan coach admitted that the U-23 Indonesian National Team’s attack was very strong. So, it’s only natural that Shin Tae-yong’s team was shot at by 9 goals.
Even so, Tseng Tai-Lin believes the U-23 Indonesian National Team still has weaknesses. According to him, Shin Tae-yong’s troops still have to slightly improve the defense sector and when facing counter attacks.

“Indonesia’s attacks are very strong. However, they have to be alert with defense and counter attacks. That is their weakness,” said Tseng Tai-Lin when met in the mixed zone of Manahan Stadium, Solo, Saturday (9/9/2023).
The Indonesian national team itself only needs a draw against Turkmenistan in the Group K match on September 12 to lock in group champion status, as well as making history for the first time being able to qualify for the U-23 Asian Cup finals.
If they fail to win the group, the participating teams including Indonesia and Turkmenistan still have the chance to qualify for the finals if they become one of the four best runners-up from the 11 existing qualifying groups.
