The first MP with Down syndrome in Spain

Mar Galcerán, a woman with Down syndrome, will take up the post of regional deputy in Valencia, Spain, next week. This was announced today by the governor of this territory, Carlos Mazón, and by the Popular Party. The 46-year-old Galcerán was a PP candidate in the May 28 local elections. Initially, she was not among the chosen ones, but after a series of nominations among those who preceded her on the list, her name was reached.
