Putri Ariani’s performance in the semifinals of America’s Got Talent (AGT) 2023 received praise. Putri transformed into a diva singing the song I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For by U2, in a sparkling gold dress.
Behind Putri’s appearance, there is Tiffany Liem who designs the glamorous clothes of Putri, Bunda. Tiffany is the designer who also designed the Princess’s dress when she appeared at the State Palace on the occasion of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day.
Tiffany said that she was initially entrusted with designing the beautiful dress worn by Putri during the AGT 2023 semifinals which took place on Wednesday (6/9/23) morning Indonesian time. The designer who owns Tiffany Liem Studio first designed Putri’s clothes after the initial round of AGT 2023.

“Since Putri returned to Indonesia from AGT (started designing). So, at that time I was offered whether I wanted to make it for Putri, so I wanted to. Honestly, my family and I also watched it and liked it. So in the last half year I made it for Putri,” said Tiffany when contacted by HaiBunda, Thursday (7/9/23).
Tiffany originally created the design for Putri’s dress when she appeared at a concert entitled Great Women in mid-July. The design was immediately liked by Putri’s family, until finally she was trusted to make the dresses worn by the 17 year old girl.
“Actually, at the beginning, I was making a concert for the Great Woman. Then the Princess suddenly had a lot of calls to go everywhere, so she needed a lot of clothes, right? So, I think she was happy with my design,” said Tiffany.
“In the 17’s he also asked me, at that time we wanted red so that it was in line with the theme of Independence. I said that red would be good on Palembang songket cloth,” he continued.
Princess dress design in the AGT 2023 semifinals
After appearing at the State Palace, Putri again wore a dress designed by Tiffany in the semifinals of AGT 2023. The design of the dress was deliberately made sparkling so that all eyes would be focused on Putri. Tiffany added sparkling sequins from the dress to the hijab worn by the woman born in 2005, Bunda.
“In terms of design, we knew there would be a lot of spotlights on the stage. So from the start we made it bling, so the clothes themselves were made from material that was full of sequins, we added sequins to the headscarves and also the clothes. So they fit perfectly. if it hits the spotlight, it will look bling-bling,” said Tiffany.
Tiffany designed this Princess dress for about two weeks. Before designing, Tiffany must first discuss it with her mother and the daughter’s team.
“Every time we design, we always brainstorm. Mom is more like, ‘Come on, Ci, let’s make this dress’. After that, we discuss it together,” said Tiffany.
In designing the Princess’s dress in the AGT 2023 semifinals, Tiffany thought about the concept in great detail. He also adapted the dress design to the Princess singing while playing the piano. Apart from this dress, Tiffany has also prepared clothes for Putri to wear in the final round.
