JAKARTA – General Secretary (Sekum) of the Indonesian Triathlon Federation (FTI) Bangka Belitung (Babel), Fathoni, claims that the majority of the Provincial Management (Pengprov) wants to immediately hold the PP FTI National Conference (Munas) to elect a new Chairman. This National Conference must be held at least no later than September or October 2023.
“Approximately 50+1, 17-18, the provincial government wants to hold a national meeting immediately. It must be as soon as possible, at least in September or October. The later it is, the more policies there will be that are not in favor of the provincial government, which are not in accordance with the AD/ART,” stressed Fathoni in his press statement. , Tuesday (5/9/2023).
The urge to hold the PP FTI National Conference was also voiced by the General Chairperson (Ketum) of North Sumatra FTI, Yopie War. According to him, the PP FTI National Conference must be held as soon as possible so that the PP FTI program can come back to life and achieve achievements on the national and international stage.
“We hope that the National Conference will be held, the new chairman will be able to develop athletes and organize the management of the organization in the future better. PP FTI is currently failing miserably. It’s not just sending athletes. The athletes are leaving because of the activities of the Central KONI or the Ministry of Youth and Sports, PP FTI is not working at all. “The coaches are coaching athletes. They don’t have the budget to coach athletes, Joko Warsito is not worthy to lead PP FTI,” said Yopie War.
Meanwhile, Suryati Azizah as Head of FTI Central Java said that in the four years PP FTI had not carried out any activities. Both holding junior and senior national championships.
“For 4 years, PP FTI did not hold a junior or senior national championship. The national championship activities were handed over to the provincial government. We had an event in the name of PP FTI holding the national championship. That was very unfair,” added Suryati Azizah.
