Suara.com – Ridwan Kamil’s term of office as Governor of West Java will end on Tuesday (5/9/2023). Ridwan Kamil and his wife and children held several farewell moments at festivals and at the building where they work.
On that occasion, Ridwan Kamil remembered the passing of his son, Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz or Eril. This emotional moment occurred when Ridwan Emil answered the media crew’s question about the moment he remembered most while he was at the Pakuan Building.
“You, um, that’s a tough question,” said Kang Emil with a smile.
In 2022, Eril reportedly disappeared while swimming in the Aare river in Switzerland. Eril was then declared dead due to being swept away in the Aare River, Bern, Switzerland, Thursday (26/5/2022). Then, Eril’s body was found on Wednesday (8/6/2022) then taken back to Indonesia and arrived at the Pakuan Building, Sunday (12/6/2022).

“Yes, let Eril go. “Our beloved child passed away here,” added Ridwan Kamil.
Effective from Tuesday (5/9/2023) Ridwan Kamil will be replaced by Acting Governor of West Java Bey Triadi Machmudin. Regarding Ridwan Kamil’s farewell, here are a series of these moments.

Ridwan Kamil together with the Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, also enlivened the 2023 West Java Festival at the Siliwangi Stadium and the Regional Cultural Week from Jalan Dago to the Gedung Sate area, Bandung City. Ridwal Kamil was accompanied by his wife, Atalia Praratya and their youngest son, Arkana Aidan Misbach.
In this event, Ridwan Kamil gave a welcome and farewell greeting to the people of West Java. Ridwan Kamil continued to give his trademark style during the farewell, by making casual jokes.

“Starting from Tuesday, I will no longer be Governor. I will wear this uniform on Jalan Asia Afrika. Please meet me, don’t forget IDR 5 thousand per selfie. Monday the price increases. Thank you, thank you.” he joked.
Hearing these words, the residents accompanied him with laughter and applause. Ridwan Kamil also expressed his hopes for West Java Province for the future
2. Wear a Dragonfly Costume

This year’s West Java Festival has an insect theme. On that basis, Ridwan Kamil also wore a costume inspired by the dragonfly.
No less unique, Atalia also wore a butterfly costume. Meanwhile, their youngest son wore a honey bee costume.
3. Clean up the Pakuan Building

Towards the end of his term of office, Ridwan Kamil began tidying up his work space which is located in the east wing of the Pakuan Building on Tuesday (29/8/2023). At that time, Ridwan Kamil was also accompanied by his wife, Atalia Praratya.
Then, Kang Emil also took a walk around the Pakuan Building to reminisce because this building had been his official residence since he served as Governor of West Java in 2018.
4. Say goodbye to ASN

Apart from saying goodbye to the residents of West Java, Ridwan Kamil also said goodbye to the State Civil Apparatus (ASN). Ridwan Kamil said his farewell greetings on his last day of service as Governor of West Java at the Morning Ceremony in the Gedung Sate yard on Monday (4/9/2023).
“This morning at 08.35, we asked you to say goodbye. See you at another time, in another fate. Thank you,” said Ridwan Kamil.
Ridwan Kamil said that on Tuesday (5/9/2023) his term of office officially ended and he returned to being an ordinary citizen.
