Dani Pedrosa Officially Extends Contract with KTM, Team Manager: He’s Our Inspiration
CATALUNYA – Dani Pedrosa has officially extended his contract with the Red Bull KTM team as a 2024 MotoGP test rider. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager, Francesco Guidotti, explained why he still has faith in the 37-year-old rider.
According to Guidotti, Pedrosa is a racer who is full of experience. His presence is able to improve KTM’s performance in MotoGP.
Pedrosa is also said to be an inspiration for KTM, especially for racers. Guidotti also sees with optimism that Pedrosa’s contract extension can increase progress for KTM.
In the practice session at the 2023 Spanish MotoGP at the Jerez Circuit last April, Pedrosa gave impressive results. He led opening practice and finished sixth in the sprint race.
In the official race at that time, Pedrosa was able to finish in seventh position. His ability on the track is still not good even though he retired in 2018.
This made Pedrosa once again trusted to appear as a wildcard. He is certain to race again at the 2023 San Marino MotoGP on September 10.
“Dani’s experience in MotoGP has been incredible and he showed us at Jerez that he is still capable of setting P1 lap times!” said Guidotti in the official MotoGP release.
“It’s his capabilities and standards as well as his unique feel for Grand Prix machines that makes him so important and an inspiration to us and the riders. We keep many parts of our MotoGP project consistent and stable, so this commitment with Dani is very positive. We’re looking forward to Misano! ” he concluded.
For your information, Pedrosa is a legend in MotoGP. He had joined the Red Bull KTM project in 2019 after finishing with Honda.
