Honor Presents Handbag-Shaped Cellphone. PHOTO/DAILY
BEIJING – Chinese technology company Honor has introduced a folding smartphone model that also functions as a handbag.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Sunday (3/9/2023), the design of this smartphone is expected to compete with fashion brands such as Prada and Louis Vuitton, as well as rival technology giants including Apple and Samsung.
The company introduced the Honor V Purse smartphone model during a keynote address titled ‘Unfold Tomorrow’ at the IFA 2023 technology exhibition in Berlin.
Smartphones are described as fashion bags that offer self-expression and a sustainable lifestyle.
However, Honor has no plans to release it to the open market.
If this 9 millimeter thick cellphone is folded, the screen will always be on and visible at all times.
The top of the phone has a clip that allows users to close or open the fold, a camera, and a clasp for an interchangeable shoulder strap.
Users can change the bag style for traveling without having to buy a new bag. It is expected to last a long time, and can be opened and closed more than 400,000 times.
