SANTO DOMINGO – Dominican Republic boxer, Edwin De Los Santos is knocking on the door of Shakur Stevenson (20-0, 10KO). He tried to test the toughness of the former world super featherweight boxing champion.
Stevenson, who has moved up to the lightweight division, has so far struggled to get the fight he wants. A number of popular boxers, such as Devin Haney, Isaac Cruz and Vasiliy Lomachenko, have still not responded to Stevenson’s challenge.
In the ring, Stevenson is a very patient boxer. He never wavered in taking his opponent’s hard blows. However, when he got the right moment, Stevenson immediately caught his opponent with a powerful blow.
However, things were different when Stevenson was outside the ring. The divisional world champion and Olympic silver winner seemed to be running out of patience, because he had yet to get a big name when he decided to move up to the lightweight division.
Taking advantage of Stevenson’s condition, Edwin De Los Santos tried to challenge him. When Stevenson’s targeted boxers walked in another direction, Edwin hoped to meet the undefeated boxer.
Edwin was well aware of how attractive Stevenson was to be his opponent. Therefore, he liked the opportunity to fight against him.
“Shakur Stevenson, I heard you don’t have an opponent. I want all the smoke,” wrote Edwin De Los Santos on his social media account.
For your information, Edwin De Los Santos is a 23 year old boxer from the Dominican Republic. Since making his professional debut on August 25 2018, he has had 17 fights with 16 wins (14KO) and one loss.
Edwin experienced the only defeat when he competed against William Foster III in January last year. At that time, he suffered a split decision defeat.
