JAKARTA – Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Dito Ariotedjo, revealed the target of the Indonesian contingent at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. He said Indonesia was targeted to occupy the top 12 positions.
The 2023 Asian Games will take place from September 23 to October 8 in Hangzhou, China. The Minister of Youth and Sports has announced the target of the Indonesian contingent in this event.
Dito Ariotedjo said that the Indonesian contingent is targeted to be in the top 12 at the 2023 Asian Games. Meanwhile, for the 2023 Asian Para Games, it is targeted to be in the top 10.
“We have decided on targets, for the Asian Games in the top 12 and the Asian Para Games in the top 10,” said Dito Ariotedjo to media crew including SINDOnews, Friday (1/9/2023).
Furthermore, Dito Ariotedjo said that 12 gold was the target for the Indonesian contingent for the 2023 Asian Games. Meanwhile, 20 gold, 23 silver and 25 for the 2023 Asian Para Gemes.
“Asian Games gold 12. Asian Para Games 20 gold, silver 23 and bronze 25,” he explained.
For information, Indonesia was in fourth place in the final standings of the 2018 Asian Games. At that time, Indonesia managed to get 31 gold, 24 silver and 43 bronze.
