MONACO – The drawing for the 2023/2024 Champions League group stage has been completed at the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco, Friday (1/9/2023) early morning WIB. From the results of the draw, it is known that Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are trapped in Group F.
The draw for the 2023/2024 Champions League season was hosted by Giorgio Marchetti. Meanwhile Eric Abidal and Joe Cole were special guests and were called on stage to help conduct the draw.
Abidal and Cole are considered to have an emotional bond with the venue for this season’s Champions League final at Wembley Stadium. Cole is known to be a resident of London and Abidal lifted the Big Ear trophy in 2011 when Barcelona beat Manchester United.
The event then continued with Cole taking the first ball and Bayern Munich was the first team to come out of the draw. The Bundesliga giants are in Group A.
Then Sevilla (Group B), Napoli (Group C), Benfica (Group D), Fayenoord (Group E), Paris Saint Germain (Group F), Manchester City (Group G) and Barcelona (Group H). After the draw in pots 2, 3, and 4.
As a result, Group F can be said to be the hell group because it is inhabited by three giant teams, namely Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan. Another team is Newcastle United.
It is known that the 2023/2024 Champions League group stage matches are scheduled to take place from 19 September to 13 December 2023 (local time). After that, the draw will continue for the teams that qualify for the round of 16.
The Champions League round of 16 matches are scheduled to take place from 13 February to 13 March 2024. Meanwhile, the quarter-final matches will be held from 9-16 April 2024.
