BANDUNG – Rachmat Irianto expressed his gratitude for being called back to join the Indonesian national team. The Persib Bandung midfielder has been summoned to take part in a test match against Turkmenistan in the FIFA Matchday at the Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), Surabaya, 8 September 2023.
“Yes, Alhamdulillah. Thank God I was called up by the national team, because all the players aim for the national team,” said Rachmat Irianto at the Sidolig Stadium, Bandung, Tuesday (29/8/2023).
However, Rian admits that he has not had any special preparations to be able to join the Indonesian national team. Currently he chooses to focus on the match between Persib Bandung and Persija Jakarta.
According to the schedule, the 11th match of the 2023/2024 League 1 will be held at the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi City, Saturday (2/9/2023). “So, focus on Persija first. After that on Turkmenistan,” he said.
Rian confirmed that currently the Persib players are highly motivated to face Persija Jakarta. Because in the previous two matches, his team won the match.
“Of course these two wins are a driving force for our enthusiasm for the match against Persija. Because Persija is also not easy to beat,” he said.
The owner of the jersey number 53 ensures that Persija Jakarta also has motivation. The reason is, the team nicknamed the Kemayoran Tigers have never won in the previous four matches.
“With the poor results received by Persija, there must be high motivation for Persija to beat us,” he concluded.
