TEL AVIV – Israel’s former prime minister, Ehud Barak, sparked controversy after reposting a video of an Israeli professor declaring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is like Adolf Hitler and mentally unfit to run a country.
The post was shared by former deputy head of Israel’s National Security Council Eran Etzion and features Prof. Ichak Adizes, a Yugoslav-born Israeli professor who is tenured professor at UCLA, Stanford, Tel Aviv University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Columbia University.
He has also written several books on leadership, such as The Ideal Executive, Leading the Leaders, and How to Manage in Times of Crisis.
In the video, Adizes compares Netanyahu to other well-known world leaders, such as Donald Trump, Yugoslav Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic, and Hitler – particularly in the last days of his reign.
These similarities, he argues, are due to both leaders seemingly losing touch with reality and losing control. He added that like Hitler, Netanyahu would eventually commit suicide, thus taking the entire country with him.
“Must watch!” Barak wrote in his post on X, which is known as Twitter.
“A leading international leadership consultant has come out with a shocking opinion!” he wrote again as quoted from the Jerusalem Post, Tuesday (29/8/2023).
Ehud Barak’s post also drew criticism from Netanyahu’s party, the Likud Party, on social media.
“Ehud ‘Hot Neck’ Barak, associate pedophile (Jeffrey) Epstein, has finally gone off the rails,” the party wrote.
