JAKARTA – The U-17 Indonesian national team needs to be wary of four U-17 South Korean players when the two teams clashed in a friendly match. The four players are alleged to be able to pose a serious threat to Garuda Asia’s defense.
The U-17 Indonesian national team versus the U-17 South Korea are scheduled to take place at the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Wednesday (30/8/2023) at 19.00 WIB. This friendly match is to see the readiness of Garuda Asia troops before appearing in the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
The U-17 World Cup will take place from 10 November to 2 December 2023. The U-17 Indonesian National Team is the debut team, while South Korea U-17 has made seven appearances.
Here are 4 U-17 South Korean players who need to watch out for the U-17 Indonesian National Team
1. Kim Myung-jun
Playing in the striker position, Kim Myung-jun will trouble the defense of the U-17 Indonesian National Team. The reason is, he has a height of 182cm so he excels in top balls.
Kim Myung-jun is currently strengthening Pohang Steelers U18 and has appeared in six matches and contributed two goals. The 17-year-old striker also showed his sharpness with the South Korean national team in the age group.
Together with South Korea U-16, Kim Myung-jun appeared in five matches and contributed two goals. Then, together with South Korea U-17 has scored five goals in 10 matches.
2. Yun Do-young
Apart from Kim Myung-jun, the U-17 Indonesian National Team must also be wary of Yun Do-young’s movements. Playing in the right wing position, Yun Do-young will trouble the defense of the U-17 Indonesian National Team.
Yun Do-young is strengthening Daejeon U-18. The 16-year-old striker has appeared in seven matches and contributed two goals.
Meanwhile Yun Do-young had defended South Korea U-16 by appearing in three matches and scoring two goals. Then with South Korea U-17, he has appeared in five matches and scored two goals.
3. Jin Tae-ho
Not only in the attacking position, the U-17 Indonesian National Team must also be wary of the U-17 South Korean midfield. Jin Tae-ho will trouble Garuda Asia’s defense line from the midfield.
Jin Tae-ho is one of South Korea’s future midfielders. The reason is, he had strengthened for South Korea U-13 for two matches, U-16 with three appearances and U-17 has appeared in four matches.
Even though he is only 17 years old, Jin Tae-ho is currently strengthening Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors U18, one of the top clubs in the South Korean League. He has appeared in six matches and scored one goal.
4. Kim Hyun-min
Kim Hyun-min playing on the left wing position of South Korea U-17 will be a threat to the defense of the U-17 Indonesian National Team. At 173 cm tall, he can compete for the top balls.
Currently, Kim Hyun-min is strengthening Yeongdeungpo Technical High School. Meanwhile with South Korea U-17, Kim Hyun-min has appeared in four matches.
