It turned out that Verny Hasan was unable to convict Denny Sumargo in the DNA test case which was later brought up again.
Punish what is meant in this case if Verny intends to force Denny to do another DNA test by criminalizing him.
This was revealed by the famous lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea. Hotman revealed the reason because in a sexual relationship it is done on a ‘want-to-will’ basis.
“Criminally, you can’t (the men are forced to do a DNA test) because the relationship is consensual. So the criminal process cannot force a man to do a DNA test,” said Hotman, quoted by Suara Liberte from the Intense Investigation YouTube channel, Monday (28/8/2023).

Not only criminal, Verny also could not force Denny to use civil law. “In civil terms, there is no legal procedure. Because civil law cannot force the physical, “continued Hotman.
According to Hotman, a possible choice that could be made by Verny’s party was to sue for a DNA test with a penalty system.
“At most, the girl sues for a DNA test with a penalty if she doesn’t want to do a DNA test, for example, 100 million a day, a fine,” he explained.
Unfortunately, until now there is no precedent that can be used as a reference for this.
“But that has no precedent. So to this day there are no examples of cases but it really does not meet the elements to take criminal and civil law remedies to force a man to want a DNA test to match the baby’s DNA with that of the boy,” Hotman continued.

Denny Sumargo himself has accepted Verny Hasan’s challenge to do a DNA test again. Denny had even reported Verny to the police on suspicion of defamation, while Verny only wanted to talk about the DNA test through his attorney.
