JAKARTA – Apriyani Rahayu/ Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti was asked to learn a valuable lesson after coming out as runner-up at the 2023 BWF World Championships at the Royal Arena, Sunday (27/8/2023). This was conveyed by the Indonesian women’s doubles coach, Eng Hian.
In the women’s doubles final at the 2023 BWF World Championships, Apriyani/Fadia had to admit the superiority of Chen Qing Chen/Jia Yi Fan from China in two straight games 16-21, 12-21. After the match, there were several evaluations given by Eng Hian to his team.
“I hope that from today’s final match, they can learn many lessons. They also have to prepare technically, physically and mentally when they are going to compete on the field again, especially facing big events in the World Championships and in other big events,” said Eng. Hian in the PBSI release.
Apart from that, added Eng Hian, Apri/Fadia must be able to organize their mindset more maturely. The world’s 13th ranked women’s doubles are expected to balance their expectations.
“The World Championship final match this time must be a lesson for them going forward. How they both have to be able to manage expectations and still have to improve and fix the deficiencies that occur in the final match,” he added.
