Brilio.net – Being a woman who migrates to other people’s territory clearly has its own difficulties. It is not always easy to conquer every challenge and trial that exists. However, traveling can provide valuable experience and bring success as a result of hard work.
Presumably this is what Aulia Putri Meidina, a woman who left her hometown in Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra, to try her luck in the Student City, Yogyakarta. Even though she is now successfully working and studying at UGM as an LPDP recipient, the story of Aulia’s life journey has not been smooth sailing.
Aulia’s journey to wander began when she received news that she was accepted at the Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University, Yogyakarta, in 2016. During college, Aulia did not want to burden her parents with tuition fees, which in fact are quite large.
Therefore, through his efforts, he managed to get a full scholarship while studying at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Apart from that, Aulia is also trying to support herself by teaching at various tutoring places and even offering private study services. “In the beginning, uni made a lot of money by teaching at other people’s institutions and from house to house,” he said.
Due to tireless struggles for approximately 4 years, many of Aulia’s efforts have yielded sweet fruit. Not only did he graduate with a cum laude predicate, he also managed to receive an LPDP scholarship from the government so he could continue his Masters degree at Gadjah Mada University today. “Initially, I actually wanted to continue my studies abroad, but after discussing it with my parents, I ended up doing it domestically,” he said.
