CANBERRA – Australia will join the United States (US) and Japan in plans to hold military exercises in the South China Sea with its largest fleet, HMAS Canberra Australia.
Participation in the exercise also reflects support for the Philippines, which has frequently been in conflict with China in contested waters.
However, it was revealed that the Philippines could not take part in this exercise due to limitations in terms of military logistics.
