RAYONG – The coach of the U-23 Thailand national team, Issara Sritaro refuses to look at the quality of the U-23 Indonesian national team players individually. However, he considered that the Garuda Muda staff members were of high quality.
The U-23 Thailand and U-23 Indonesia national teams will try to fight for a place in the final round of the 2023 AFF U-23 Cup. The two teams will face each other in the semifinals which will take place at the Rayong Province Stadium, Thursday (24/8/2023) evening WIB.
Meanwhile, ahead of the match, Issara Sritaro said that Thailand U-23 did not focus on one Indonesian U-23 player. The reason is, he assesses the team made by Shin Tae-yong as a collective quality.
“Indeed, every Indonesian player has quality, but we don’t focus on just one person,” said Issara Sritaro as quoted from SMM Sports, Wednesday (23/8/2023).
Issara Sritaro wants his squad to be in combat-ready condition when facing the U-23 Indonesian national team. According to him, this will allow the players to unleash all their potential.
“For the semifinals, I want the players to be in good condition where they can show their maximum potential,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Thailand U-23 national team is in good form at the 2023 AFF U-23 Cup. They were able to score 8 goals without conceding a single one during the group phase.
Thailand U-23 is also determined to win the AFF U-23 Cup. They won the AFF U-23 Cup in the 2005 edition.
