MOSCOW – Russian troops destroyed a Ukrainian radar station for detecting and tracking air targets near the city of Zaporozhye.
The Russian Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) explained this development on Wednesday (23/8/2023).
“A P-18 radar station for detecting and tracking air targets was destroyed near the city of Zaporozhye,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
Russia managed to thwart four attacks on Zaporozhye, while Ukraine lost up to 80 troops, according to the ministry.
“During the day, 80 Ukrainian soldiers, four cars, one Polish self-propelled artillery unit Krab and a German Panzerhaubitze 2000, one D-30 howitzer, three US-made M119 howitzers, and one US anti-battery radar howitzer His /TPQ-48 was destroyed,” said the Russian Ministry of Defense.
