The TASS news agency announced today that the head of the Russian mercenary group Yevgeny Prigozhin was on the passenger list of a private plane that crashed north of Moscow on Wednesday. The agency cited Rosaviatsia, the Russian aviation authority.
However, there is no immediate and clear information whether Yevgeny Prigozhin was on the plane.
“An investigation has been launched into the crash of the Embraer plane that happened tonight in the Tver region. According to the list of passengers, the name of Yevgeny Prigozhin was among them,” Rosaviatsia officials said.
Earlier, the TASS agency reported that ten people had died after a private plane crashed in Russia’s Tver region north of Moscow. There were seven passengers and three crew members on the plane, which was traveling from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
