JAKARTA – Telkomsel is collaborating with YouTube to present the YouTube Premium package. Interestingly, the price for the YouTube Premium Telkomsel package is cheaper than the YouTube application.
YouTube Premium is a YouTube service that is provided so that users are more comfortable watching streaming video because it is ad-free and without interruptions.
In addition to an ad-free and uninterrupted video content streaming service experience, the YouTube Premium package also provides easy access to a number of exclusive features, such as video downloads, background play, and full access to YouTube Music features, as well as YouTube Kids.
YouTube Premium is a way for YouTube to get cash from Indonesian consumers. Head of YouTube Content Partnership Indonesia, Suwandi Widjaja, revealed that at the end of 2022, global premium YouTube users had reached 80 million subscribers. In Indonesia alone, the new premium YouTube service was released in 2019.
If you subscribe through the application, YouTube Premium costs IDR 59,000 per month excluding tax. Meanwhile, Telkomsel Premium YouTube is marketed at IDR 10,000 cheaper, which is IDR 49,000 per month including taxes and others.
Interestingly, Telkomsel Prepaid and Telkomsel Halo (postpaid) customers also get an additional 2GB data quota, which Telkomsel customers can use to access YouTube, MAXstream, and other video streaming platform services that work with Telkomsel.

Meanwhile, Regional Director, Asia Pacific YouTube Partnerships Ajay Vidyasagar said that the YouTube Premium package is expected to give Indonesian people the freedom to watch the videos they like, both in short and long formats.
