The customers of a restaurant in Lixuria, Italy, were surprised by the large tip that a tourist left for them through the “Track Pay” application.
The episode took place at the “Miky” restaurant, in Monterosso al Mare, where at the end of a fish dinner, a sheikh rewarded the staff for the excellent food and perfect service with a 1800 euro tip.
The wealthy client, who was vacationing on the adorable coast of Lixuria with his $450 million superyacht, decided to spend the evening at the famous restaurant in the area, which is also mentioned in the Michelin Italy guide.
He then surprised everyone by leaving the largest tip in the restaurant’s history.
“He sent his chefs to taste the food, then came to dinner that same evening with about 20 guests,” said Sara Defina, owner of the restaurant.
They ordered many of our most traditional dishes, enjoying red shrimp from Santa Margherita, mullet and anchovies from Monterosso, among others.
