JAKARTA – It is reported that Meta will soon be releasing a web version of Threads in the near future, to compete more strictly with X aka Twitter.
Threads is indeed trying to catch up with X.
Reporting from Engadget, Monday (21/8/2023) the news of this launch came shortly after Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg said that the web version of Threads would be coming soon with a better search function.
In addition, the Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri recently also said that the web version of Threads is currently in the testing phase so that later it can carry out all the functions that have so far been limited.
“It’s still a bit buggy for now. As soon as it’s ready, we’ll share it with others,” Mosseri said on his social media.
Previously, Threads also presented a series of new features. Among these are features that allow users to organize notifications and view posts in chronological order. The company also started labeling state-controlled media outlets in the renewal.
Another update is the repost tab which makes it easier to see all the reposted content. The function of this feature is actually similar to retweets on Twitter.
