In Italy the churches are more and more empty. In 2022, the historical minimum of attendance was reached, only 18.8% of the population participates in a religious rite at least once a week, while 31% are those who have never entered a country in the 12 months of the year cult, except for a special event, such as a wedding or funeral. Over the course of 20 years, religious practice in Italy has suffered a steady decline, up to half. According to ISTAT data, it has gone to 18.8% in 2022, from 36.4% in 2001.
