The Russian Foreign Ministry said Washington’s words about the attack on Crimea were hypocritical and wrong.
“Assurances of US officials that the United States did not encourage such an attack against Russia are hypocritical and false, given the clear evidence of the use of weapons and equipment supplied to the Ukrainian military needs by the Pentagon for the preparation and implementation of terrorist acts by Ukrainian militants,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said. .
The ministry added that it was time for the US to understand that any form of aggression against Russia would trigger a serious response from Moscow.
“The Russian side emphasizes that the hostile actions of the United States, which has long been a party to the conflict, have plunged Russian-US relations into a deep and dangerous crisis, fraught with unforeseen consequences,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
“It is time for Washington to understand that any form of aggression against Russia will continue to be met with the most serious response,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
